Hmmm... while I agree that something needs to be done about decreases the amount of teen pregnancies there are, the idea that they're planning on allowing young girls to receive these injections or implants without parental knowledge disturbs me. How are we supposed to be responsible parents if we don't know what medication/medical treatments etc our children are receiving? Also, contraception is not a guaranteed method of birth control - I know this for a fact, having been on the pill for four out of five of my pregnancies and being caught out each time. This isn't going to teach kids sexual responsibility and that's what they should be doing. |

Why not just go the whole way and spay them? You'll all hate me for saying this, but PARENTS - their fault, because the majority of parents of these teen mums (know a couple myself) haven't taught their kids what's right and what's wrong, and reinforced it! It's also society's for making it soo easy to have kids at such a young age, it should be frowned upon rather than seen as "just one of those things".Maybe if they didn't have just a readily available cash flow it would make things more difficult for them. |
