I've purposely posted the thread within this forum due to the potential, with IaBT being IaBT, for this to get juicy. Now, there are no real reasons or underlying motives for me asking you all this, it really is a matter of interest. I have no idea if this is a personal question or something you've been dying to answer but never found an opportunity to spout religious... erm... well, you know the rest.

Me personally, I have belonged to the Church of England since birth, and rather involuntarily. I never asked to be CofE nor do I wish to practice it - although to be perfectly frank it's one of the most gentle and indifferent of all the Christian sects (and to be fair, there aren't half a lot of Christian nut-jobs) so I consider myself to be 'religionless'. I am an athiest in a sense as I do not believe there is a God. I would like to believe there was a God, proven beyond all reasonable doubt. I'd be the most devout follower of the all.

If there is a God he/she/it is truly irresponsible and seems to have been ignoring us for the past two million years.

What's your view?

I follow the religion of Azh mixed in with a little paganism and a lot of witchcraft. Take what works and discard what doesn't.

Currently I don't follow any religion, got to get my head sorted first, too much swirling around in there at the moment for me to be able to take time out and contemplate things.

Was baptised a Methodist, moved then went to a United Reform church, then grew up and realised that religion probably shouldn't be governed by location, and "why did I go to church when the adults stay home?".
Now, like Azh, I belong to the church of Louise, made up of common sense ( I hope!) but basically I don't believe anything anyone tells me!

Yep, to the extent I have a religion, it's pretty much the religion of Kitty.

I see a difference between religiosity and spirituality ... I don't view spiritual practice as a matter of worshipping a deity or going to church, the conventional things one associates with religion. (Well, I was raised Presbyterian in the Deep South US in the 1950s and 60s, so I grew up thinking traditional religion was boring and not particularly relevant to "real life".)

To keep it simple, when asked what my religion is, I usually say "Buddhism", although that's not entirely accurate. My spiritual practice/belief system, or whatever the heck you want to call it, is eclectic, with a definite bent towards Eastern philosophy, paganism, and mysticism.
