Stop me if you've heard this related to teacups and toasted cheese, but we all know God moves in mysterious ways.

Local news (see this linky) indicates that God is everywhere, even in Adelaide (the City of Churches), dipping His Finger in unwashed coffee cups.

Personally, I don't think we have any reliable mug shots of Jesus for comparison (nor fingerprints of God to see if sHe in fact touched this cup) but I have seen similar pics of Che Guevara. I think the picture is a sign that Fidel is bringing the Revolution to a cafeteria near you.

I think Sam Marinos has been drinking something, but it ain't coffee. Of course, Greek coffee is pretty powerful stuff.

That is such an odd photo of him with the coffee cup, too. He's staring right at the camera, very intensely, almost as if he's trying to hypnotize the reader into seeing Jesus.

It didn't work with me, though. I'm looking and looking, and all I can see are wavy lines and a few spots. Maybe Jesus looks different Down Under?

It crossed my mind he might be taking the mickey out of all the other "I can see Jesus" pics.

I could see the face - to the right half of the pic, the face pointing 45 deg to the right.

Don't know if Jesus looks different Down Under. All I know about religion Down Under is that when the Pope visited recently, in an atmosphere of child abuse within church institutions, a T-shirt was on sale with the slogan "The Pope touched me Down Under".

I see a pirate...or at least a sailor, with a hat, moustache and beard looking to the right. That guy is purple (purple is a fruit).

OK, well, I looked again and still can't see anything. I'm a hopeless case. Get the hot place ready for me, because I guess that's where I'll be going.

Except it's not Jesus, unless he's a leprechaun, or maybe the troll under the bridge in the "Three Billy Goats Gruff". His mouth looks misshapen, like he needed some serious orthodonture work done. I guess Mary and Joseph didn't have the money for braces.

Just more proof that we see what we want to see, I guess.
